In the main evacuation center in Otsuchi, Japan, one of the cities hit hardest by the March 11th tsunami, a wall has been set up for photography found in the wake of the disaster.
As villagers search through the mounds of rubble and find more photos, they are bringing them to the wall in an attempt to return memories to their rightful owners.
The wall in M.A.D.E gallery is a reminder of our ties to the hurting people in Japan. As visitors, many of us have experienced their culture, and now as viewers of this piece, we can give back. During the show, all of the smaller prints on the wall were available for a suggested donation of $5.00 and larger canvas prints went for silent auction.
